I've discovered the joy of art workshops! I've never tried looking before, but there are these figure drawing studio meetups that I can go to, where you pay a small fee and you just sit there and draw a model that poses from 2mins to 25 mins. I really enjoyed it. I'm hoping to go to one again tomorrow or Tuesday...
I've also discovered the joy that is Tombo markers. I LOVE THEM~ unlike most markers I've come across, they have that brush type shape, so I can control how thick and thin and how much color I want... I really really like them. I did a really cool Ulquiorra X Orihime piece with it, that I have yet to scan and post. The only complaint so far, is that the black doesn't look like a solid black when I put it next to another solid color. So I have a dark green background, and black wings, but the wings don't look... black enough, if that makes any sense. Any suggestions on how to fix it without using photoshop? I need hardcore marker tips; it's totally not my usual medium.
In other news, I've started working on an artpiece for

's contest here
[link] . It involves her two characters Semiyar and Diana. Here's what I've got so far...

I've been really getting into the idea of doing contests for two reasons. First off, they're free. Workshops are cool and all, but even driving there costs money, and I'm cheap. Second, I think I work so much harder and really push myself artistically when it's artwork for someone else.
And finally, I'd like to state that my back is a searing, aching pain of death. I've been doing 9-10 hours of stock at work for the past few days (we got 180 boxes of clothes and hard goods). I feel like the Hunchback of Notre Dame. The paaaiiiiinnn~~ ;_;

It's pretty clear now that what looked like it might have been some kind of counterculture is, in reality, just the plain old chaos of undifferentiated weirdness.
